It all started when…

Marissa Mayer, then CEO of Yahoo!, opted to end her company's work from home policy in 2013. After years of talking about the power of flexibility to lift productivity and morale and lower absenteeism, we felt we needed to amplify our message. (You can hear me tell the story on The Breadwinners podcast!)

That year we invited dozens of amazing partners all working to improve workplace laws, policies and benefits to join Working Mother to launch National Flex Day to demonstrate the power of flexible work by sharing their own #NationalFlexDay story on the third Tuesday of October, better known as National Work and Family Month.

Since then, the conversation has continued to grow — as has the power of flexible work. Please continue to share your own flexible work story!
